•Conducting literature reviews and research on the alternative proteins landscape related to shrimps and shrimp welfare issues.
•Collaborating with the research lead to share information and promote best practices.
•Presenting research findings to SWP and the public through reports.
•Performing any other related duties as required.
•Conducting background research on key international development issues such as health, education, sustainable agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, economic empowerment, debt assistance, food security, and climate change among others for members of the Alliance of NGOs and CSOs for South-South Cooperation (ANCSSC).
•Support the preparation of reports, meetings, and presentations for ANCSSC members for external engagements
•Conduct and record telephone interviews with survey participants, in accordance with 60 Decibels lean data collection procedures, interview protocols, and documentation standards.
•Conduct reviews/quality checks on data collected by other research assistants to ensure they pass validity tests resulting in increased client trust and data-informed decision-making.
•Respond timely to resolve all data quality check issues and promptly provide any data collection challenges to the research team for resolution
•Upload completed surveys into a computer database (Qualtircs) without any data entry errors.
•Collaborated with the M&E specialists to develop output and outcome monitoring indicators for projects in agriculture and food security, health, education, social protection, etc.
•Contributed to the development of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) plans including the development of the theories of change and results frameworks, etc.) for projects.
•Supported the design, implementation, and reporting of surveys/research.
•Planned and arranged meetings with over 2500+ project beneficiaries, 50+ government officials, and 6+ implementing partners, allowing all stakeholders to meet and discuss project progress
•Produced and submitted bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to USAID, Global Affairs Canada.
•Conducted extensive literature reviews and data analysis to support the evaluation of various projects, resulting in the identification of key areas for improvement and the development of effective strategies for achieving project goals.
•Contributed to the design of assessment methodologies, data collection instruments, qualitative and quantitative data collection, data entry and analysis for 15+ projects.
•Supported the preparation of project reports and presentations to stakeholders, including donors and government officials, highlighting key findings and recommendations for future project development.
•Collaborated with programme team members to conduct needs assessments and reviews in 30+ project communities to determine needed interventions
•Supported the M&E coordinator to establish data quality practices that ensured the availability of high-quality data for the measurement of project results and progress.
•Monitored the implementation of project activities together with partners, communities, and other stakeholders, documented lessons learned, and shared outcomes to project stakeholders for increased organisational learning and evidence-based decision-making.
•Facilitated and sustained networking between local farmers and input dealers, and technological service providers leading to improved service delivery to farmers
•Supported the generation and submission of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports to donors and other stakeholders
•Collaborated with the M&E officer to collect and analyse management information system (MIS) data on a village savings and loans association (VSLA) project to generate project-level information on a quarterly basis.
•Monitored VSLA group development (self-management and transition to maturity) and, provided timely information to partners, project team, and other stakeholders.
•Represented YARO in workshops/review meetings to present project progress and results, keeping all stakeholders well informed of deliverables and milestones.
•Prepared monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to donors and stakeholders.
